cadence1.jpg

I got a package from Dustin Klein, Cadence Clothing.
He is also well known as a fixed rider of MASH and Bootleg Sessions.

I ordered Neo noir zipup hooded parker last December. Size M was not available at that time, so I ordered Size L. But it was too large for me.
So, I re-ordered M after the size was in stock.

Dustin put stickers in the pack and write me a message in Japanese!
I am so happy.

karelboehleetrio.jpg

"Karel Behlee Trio" is Jazz Trio from Holland.

The sound is drawing slow flowing transparent soundscape. Not too laidback, not too fast atmosphere is recommended for winter.

saikotsukamoto.jpg

Saiko Tsukamoto released self name titled 1st album.

She released several albums as her solo project with featuring artists "Museum of Plate". Her dark and sorrowful piano playing has been collaborated with some club music artists.

In this album, she expressed her creativity of playing piano. She wanted to tell people that anyone could enjoy playing piano with even tiny finger. She gave up pianist because her finger is too short to be a pro piano player.

You can enjoy 13 titles, piano cover songs, piano version of previous "Museum of Plate" releases, and new original songs.

mimixalex.jpg

Known as Black Star and the tokyo legendary dance music party "Gallery" DJ, Alex From Tokyo finished a fabulous mix for the label Octave-lab mix cd project.

Like his DJ history, this mix consists of deep, minimal elements but naturally dance feeling.

This album doesn't have brilliant flashy image of dance music though you can feel what dance music originally is.

Silver Moon - Calm

silvermoon.jpg

Calm releases 5th album "Silver Moon" on Feb.8th, 2008.

This album is another side of Blue Planet.
Except 1 song, Silver moon is based on instrumental track. More deep and mysterious sound than Previous album, very sounds like the Calm fan's image.

All those who loves downtempo, chillout music must have the set of these two albums.

collioure.jpg

Takahiro Nakamura aka Collioure generates the soundscape of deep chillout atmosphere.

He did all things of this album, compose, sequence programming, mix down, and cover artwork. His beautiful sense reflects whole creation on the album.

Deep and laidback sound is flowing along minimum tight breaks. Sit back and relax, and enjoy the trip of chillout sound.

Office2008 arrived!

office2008.jpg

Long awaited (at least for me) application package Microsoft Office2008 arrived.

This version is developed as Universal Binary for Intel Mac and new MacOS. I had been annoyed with unstable slow previous version (not UB) for long time since I started to use Intel Mac.

Apple added a extra gift, Office2008 reference book (I didn't want it but I am going to try to read and learn Office to overcome accounting workers and other people who love to make word, excel, powerpoint documents.)

bootlegsessions.jpg

Bootleg Sessions DVD is a compilation of films of top fixed riders "Tom, Wilis, Burd, Keo, Dustin, Tony, Shawn, Matt" and their favorite riders.

Lots of tricks and riding scene included. All fixed riders must have.

brazillianbeats.jpg

Mr.Bongo is legendary Record shop and label in UK.

Originally they were dealing with Brazillian music, then started to have relation with HipHop music, mainly indy hiphop and old skool stuff.

This box set includes 8 compilation CDs, series of Brazillian beats. You can enjoy brazillian songs selected from the angle of Mr.Bongo's 3rd eye vision.

specs_display20080115.jpg

Apple unvailed MacBook Air. Thinner, optical disc less note book computer.

I like its slimmed shape and lighter weight but form like old sony vaio or PowerBook G4 Ti occurs to me.

I want MacBook Pro, less than 1kg weight, with SuperDrive, WXGA 12" display.

Or is this a prediction of Apple that all mobile note will become zero spindle machine?

junmiyake.jpg

Jun Miyake is composer, arranger, various instruments player based on Jazz music.

He is not just a jazz musician but made a lot of song for Cinema Soundtracks, TV Programs, and Commercial videos. Maybe you have heard some songs before.

The album "Stolen From Strangers" is totally dark mysterious world of music. Piano and horn are played sorrowfully. Chorus and vocal make you feel grief.

I recommend this album to those who likes cinematic music and deep jazz sound.

Omairi (お参り)

omairi1.jpg

I am not religious person, but I went to a little unknown japanese shrine.

Usually on Oshogatsu (Japanese new year day), I just follow my friends or family and go to a shrine for omairi (お参り / worship). I do not even do Osaisen (お賽銭 / throw money into an offertory box) and Omikuji (お神籤 / drawing a written fortune), however this year I try them and I drew Chu-kichi (中吉 / Second grade of good fortune).

bairin1.jpg

I visited Motomachi Bairin (元町梅林) on January 3rd with my friends.

Bairin is classic japanese restaurant. It is not formal, high fashion type of restaurant but you can feel at home and have quality dinner with fresh ingredients.

They serve different top choice menus everyday.

You should try.

Last Christmas, I spent time in Okinawa.

Though I have been to Okinawa many times, it was first time to visit Okinawa in Winter.

I could enjoy warm winter time.

trip2koreaday5c.jpg

I finished my first time trip in Korea.

My impression is...

trip2korea4a.jpg

I was walking in so cold Korean town and passing fast through Nandaemun market (南大門市場).

It was like dirty and bunch of fake brands version of Japanese Ameyoko street. And its backside alleys seemed to be an dangerous area.

koreanbikeshow2e.jpg

I visited Korean Bike Show 2007 at COEX in Samsung.

Less hot than Bike Exibition in Japan... And there is almost no fixed scene in Korea...

But, only 1 booth was dealing with fixed gears and playing MASH DVD.

ballet2.jpg

I went to Tokyo International Forum to see Moscow Musical Theatre Ballet's "Swan Lake".

It was first time to see Ballet. I was slightly sleepy, but stage, music, and performance are splendid.
