Today, Adobe released Adobe Creative Suite 6 and Creative Cloud.
I already have been satisfied with most of functions of Adobe CS apps. Every time they release new version, I hope they fix annoying bugs and add tiny function I want.
At this time, they sligthly changed their appearance, and not so many surprising features were added, but they added one thing I had wanted for a long time. In last version of Adobe CS, all apps except Dreamweaver have application frame. So, I always had wanted to close all windows and panels at one time when I used Dreamweaver. And at last, they added application frame to Dreamweaver. This speeds up my work flow faster.
I am not into coffee things so much, but I love tastes of Starbucks and its design.
In this season's "R" (Reserved) lineup, I chose "Aged Sumatra LOT No 593" and "Sun-dried Ethiopia Harrar". They are sold limitedly in black apron's store.
Both coffee taste earthy bold and dense flavor. As always printed, it feels exotic, rare, and exquisite. I love not only its taste but its neat design, simple package with fancy label. This adds me more satisfaction beyond just having coffee.
# photos in recent entries are pulled from google's cache after the HDD mayhem in last week... so they look so jaggy than original.
After wasting my time to fix blackout bug of NVIDIA driver on MacBook Pro Mid 2010 model, I decided to purchase the latest 15inch (MD322J/A) with Core i7, AMD Radeon HD6770M 1GB GDDR5 and high resolution option (1680x1050).
Tech Spec of Mid 2010 with Core i7 is still fine, but it doesn't work fine on MacOSX 10.7 because of unsupported NVIDIA driver.
Now, totally fine with new MBP.
Quad core processor will speed up my work.
Morisawa Font Installer won't run install program correctly if you choose english in system preferences of MacOSX. After click "install" on install menu list, the program suddenly quits without any error.
You have to change your primary language to Japanese in "Laungage & Text" of system preferences.
"9/13/11 8:35:11.550 AM morisawa_new: CFURLCreateWithBytes was passed these invalid URLBytes: '/Applications/MORISAWA/Fonts/drive.txt' (a file system path instead of an URL string). The URL created will not work with most file URL functions. CFURLCreateFromFileSystemRepresentation should be used instead."
Adobe released Creative Suite 5.5. I can say this version is minor bug fixed release. It's not worth to pay 56,000 yen if you are not a latest version app bug.
This version does not include any functional updates. I could at least feel boot sequence was slightly faster than previous version.
I am complayining every time about the difference of price between Japan and US Adobe store. They sell same app for $399 (about 32,000yen / Web Premium update). I choose English version (also English version has Japanese locale), so I do not have to purchase on Japan store, but US store restricted area to purchase.
I broke the hard drive and IrDA cable of my MacBook Pro model A1260 (Core2Duo 2.5GHz) by accident when I tried to replace its hard drive. And I asked Apple support center how much it would cost. They said it would be about 150,000 yen if it was broken by accident or fixing by yourself. I gave it up and was thinking selling it out in auction site.
After several months, I found the site selling small parts of MacBook Pro, "PowerbookMedic", and I orderd the cable for only about 6,000 yen including shipping fee. I could save 140,000yen.
Do not pay ridiculous fee to Apple Support if you broke your Mac by yourself.
I have been thinking of replacing my Mac nini servers and waiting for release of appropriate spec for unifying two Mac mini servers.
MC270J/A, mid 10 model of Mac mini can install 8GB RAM. And you can easily access memory slots by just sliding the back panel.
Most remarkable point for me is it combined power unit inside of the case. You will not be annoyed with disgusted cable and square.
